FOUNDING ATTORNEY
Omar A. Vaquerano (Managing Attorney) is the founder and managing attorney of Valar Immigration, where he provides legal representation and expert advice to clients on various immigration matters. His practice covers areas such as visas, asylum, naturalization, deportation, and waivers.
Originally from El Salvador, Omar obtained his first law degree in his home country before immigrating to the United States in 2012. Having personally navigated the challenges faced by immigrants seeking a better life, he became a permanent resident and later a U.S. citizen.
Omar Vaquerano shares a common bond with his clients: he, too, came to this country seeking better opportunities and understands personally the struggles faced by immigrants striving to build a better life here. After years of dedicated effort, he obtained his green card with the invaluable support of his family in the United States. With a deep understanding of the complexities of immigration law, Omar is dedicated to helping others achieve their American dream. His commitment to compassionate and effective legal advocacy sets him apart in the field.
Upon arriving in the U.S., Omar pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at the USC Gould School of Law in Los Angeles, followed by a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. He is licensed to practice law in both New York and El Salvador. Initially, Omar worked as a litigator, skillfully resolving commercial disputes for companies through international commercial arbitration proceedings in Latin America. However, his path took a significant turn when he assisted his own wife in immigrating to the U.S. after their marriage in El Salvador.
For the past six years, Omar has focused exclusively on immigration law. His expertise spans family-based petitions, citizenship applications, removal defense, and employment-based petitions. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he relishes working with clients from diverse backgrounds. What sets Omar apart is his unwavering belief that successful representation of immigrant clients requires genuine care for their lives beyond legal matters. He doesn’t view them merely as cases; instead, he passionately advocates for their well-being, understanding that empathy is the cornerstone of effective legal support.
